NLA manuscripts closure and limited access to collections

Like many other organisations around the country, Professional Historians Australia was dismayed to learn of the closure of the National Library Australia’s manuscripts collection due to the urgent need for building repairs. We voiced our concerns in this letter. We received a very thorough response from the Chair of the National Library Board Hon Dr Brett Mason and Director-General Dr Marie-Louise Ayers FAHA.
