PHA Submission to Senate Legal and Constitutional Affairs References Committee on nationhood, national identity and democracy

On 29 July 2019 the Senate referred an inquiry into nationhood, national identity and democracy to the Legal and Constitutional Affairs References Committee for inquiry and report. Professional Historians Australia made a submission to the inquiry on 30 September 2020, recommending increased support for Australia’s national institutions, resourcing to encourage greater interaction between professional historians and local history groups, and the inclusion of policy history in graduate training programs.

On 16 February 2021, the committee tabled its final report.
