Professional Historians Australia AGM 2024

The Annual General Meeting of Professional Historians Australia took place on Saturday 5 October 2024, via Zoom.

Thank you to the outgoing PHA committee members for all their hard work this year. Each person has taken on and handled their portfolios successfully as well as pitching in above and beyond when various activities and events required it. Almost every delegate to the national committee also holds a committee role within their own local branch of PHA, making their voluntary commitment significant. We are very grateful for all that everyone has done and continues to do, voluntarily, for the success of our association.

A special thank you to our long serving committee member Peter Donovan who has stepped down after serving as the South Australia national delegate for many years and has provided such excellent context and guidance for our committee as we think about the future of our association. Peter was the founding member of PHA SA and is looking forward to a well-deserved retirement. Thank you for everything you have done for our association at a national level Peter, we will miss you.

Thank you as well to outgoing WA delegate Helen Munt, who stepped into the role unexpectedly after the tragic loss of Clare Menck and has offered us insights and inspiration from the far west.
